3 web pages I do recommend to understand more the issues related to gaming

The first web page I recommend is Game Quitters, which is the largest support community for video game addiction. It does feature a game addiction test, advices to follow by gamers and parents, videos related to the issue, podcasts, experiences from people addicted to gaming, a free downloadable guide with various ideas to help quit gaming and a community forum. It is really full of useful information and tips for quitting gaming. The initiative is featured in NPR, BBC, Forbes, Vice and TEDx which makes it more concrete and perhaps reliable.

Hence, check the web page and find out all the contents: https://gamequitters.com/

The second web page that I do recommend is internetmatters.org, which has as main objective to help parents to maintain their children safe online. There are many areas discussed such as identity theft, cyberbullying, sexting and even online gaming. The online gaming section does give useful insights on the basics, risks, benefits and resources of online gaming. In my opinion it is useful for parents willing to learn the essential things and also those aspiring to deepn even more their knowledge on online gaming. The work partners of internetmatters.org are: BT, SKY, TalkTalk, Virgin, BBC and Google, so there is some committment to raise the awareness of the aspects related to gaming.

Follow this link for the online gaming section of the page: https://www.internetmatters.org/resources/online-gaming-advice/the-basics/

The third web page I suggest checking is the Good Gamer, an initiative launched by the Spanish association of video games that wants to lead the discourse in Europe regarding the reinforcement of responsibility policies carried out by the industry and giving recommendation for a safe use of video games. The page does show interesting videos, articles and podcasts related to the gaming sphere. The only disadvantage is that it is all written in Spanish so it required to translate the page to English. However I still wanted to include it because the project is interesting and should serve as inspiration for other initiatives to be done in the European continent.
